Aurangabad
Our journey with Solid Waste Management started with a small locality of Sindhi Colony in Aurangabad. Since then, we have worked very closely with Aurangabad Municipal Corporation to bring about a systemic change in its waste management processes. Below is a glimpse our projects in Aurangabad.
January 2016 - October 2017 : Our first project in Aurangabad was funded by Bajaj Auto Pvt. Ltd, Endress + Hauser, Grind Master Machines Pvt. Ltd., B M Construction and Canpack India Pvt. Ltd. Under this project, we implemented BOTRAM in 93 wards thus impacting a population of 8.87 lacs. The Bajaj Majhi City Swachh City campaign was run across the city and was funded Bajaj Auto Pvt. Ltd. Two dry waste sorting centers were also set and managed in this project.
April 2018 - ongoing : Second phase of Bajaj Majhi City Swachh City is being implemented in Zone 6, Aurangabad in collaboration with Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and Bajaj Auto Pvt. Ltd. Under this project we have set up a model Material Recovery Center which focuses on integration of informal waste pickers, their welfare and maximum resource recover.
July 2019 - ongoing : In our first project with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB), we work in Zone 3, 4 and 8 of Aurangabad. This project aims at setting up Material Recovery Facilities with the aim to integrate informal waste pickers and improved plastics waste management.
